CTRI (1)Captain’s Cove in Bridgeport, around since the 1980s, has long been known as Connecticut’s outdoor summer fun destination.  It is the perfect place to take your boat and spend a day.

Captain’s Cove Seaport is a full service marina, with enough space for over 350 boats. For more information and rates, check here: http://www.captainscoveseaport.com/seaport.html.

Once you have docked your boat, walk up The Captain’s Cove Boardwalk, featuring shops selling handmade items, environmentally and socially conscious gifts, souvenirs, and snacks.

Then make your way to the HMS Rose and to the tall ships, Unicorn and Mystic Whaler.

At the Bridgeport Maritime Museum you can explore and learn about Bridgeport’s rich history at the Dundon House.

Captain’s Cove houses three aviation museums: The First in Flight Museum, The Connecticut Air and Space Center, and the Connecticut Corsair.

Before you head back to your boat, be sure to check out the restaurant and bar on Captain’s Cove.
