mysticYou may be familiar with Mystic Seaport thanks to the famous movie. But I promise you there is so much more! Within 19 miles along the coast of Connecticut, there is a maritime museum that is very much worth a day trip.

Discover maritime history at the Mystic Seaport: The Museum of America and the Sea.  The museum features a re-created seafaring village with all the sights and sounds of bustling 19th century life. Climb aboard historic vessels and whaleships.

It could not be easier to get to the museum by boat. The Mystic Seaport Marina is open year- round. They suggest making a reservation if you plan to visit during the summer. When you dock your boat you will receive complimentary admission to the museum, making it an even better reason to make a day of it.

For more information on the museum and docking please head over to their website: http://www.mysticseaport.org/visit/plan-your-visit/mystic-seaport-marina/
