dt-ct-1The cultural centerpiece that is The Palace Theatre (also known as the Stamford Center of Performing Arts) provides entertainment for the residents of Stamford along with visitors from all over Connecticut.

Located at 61 Atlantic Street in the heart of downtown Stamford, the theatre is a 1,580-seat Thomas Lamb-designed vaudeville house. Called “Connecticut’s Most Magnificent” when it opened in the 1920s, the venue now hosts live theater, opera, dance, concerts, and art exhibitions.

There are performances held throughout the year, making it an ideal destination for an entertaining day or evening. Calendar of events:

Harbor House Marina, located at 43 Harbor Drive in Stamford, is the best place to bring your boat to before heading to the Stamford Center. They offer plenty of transient space for boats of all sizes. Register for transient space online here: As the marina is a lengthy walk from the theatre, it’s recommended that you hop in a cab (request a taxi from the marina) or use a car service.
